After three weeks on the Picket line and a failed conciliation attempt the University of Manitoba and the faculty association are set to sit down this afternoon and attempt to hammer out a deal.
The main sticking point for the striking professors is workload and today’s meeting will see a proposal from the faculty association that addresses the issue.
If the two sides are unable to sign-off on a deal the fallout will impact students into the winter term. Already the strike has caused the fall term exams to be pushed back.
