Two “street racers” clocked at over 200 kph on Bishop Grandin

The drivers of a BMW and a Porsche got to say good-bye to their cars Thursday, May 9, 2019 after police impounded them for street racing.

Police say that the pair were clocked at 204 kilometres per hour near Bishop Grandin Boulevard and River Road. Bishop Grandin has a speed limit of 80 kilometres per hour.

Both drivers were charged with street racing, issued serious offence notices and had their rides impounded.

Under the Highway Traffic Act both drivers could have their licenses revoked and face heavy fines
