RCMP have arrested four people on drug and weapon charges in Portage la Prairie during an investigation into a stolen vehicle.
On September 15, 2020, police went to a home in the 100 block of 4th Street SE in Portage la Prairie after receiving a call about an intoxicated female sitting in a vehicle.
When officers arrived they uncovered that the vehicle had been recently stolen from Lac du Bonnet. A 36-year-old female was arrested. A search of the suspect uncovered a prohibited weapon and what is believed to me Methamphetamine.
As the investigation unfolded officers were led to an apartment complex in the same block of 4th Street SE. Officers found a firearm and a can of bear spray at that location. Three more people were arrested at the apartment complex.
A search warrant at the apartment uncovered more drugs believed to be Meth, Cocaine and Heroin.
The accused are facing a number of charges say police.
Melodie Bellisle, 36-year-old female from Pine Falls has been charged for her alleged involvement with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance
Lisa Beaulieu, 35-year-old female from Winnipeg has been charged for her alleged involvement with Careless Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possess Weapon Contrary to Order and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Kara Fredette, 20-year-old female from Winnipeg has been charged for her alleged involvement with Careless Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
Luke Woodhouse, 25-year-old male from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement with Careless Use of a Firearm, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
