Around 5:00 am this morning, March 22, 2018, Police noticed a stolen vehicle travelling in the area of Watt Street and Chalmers Avenue. As patrol officers tried to stop the vehicle it took off leading them on a pursuit.
Shortly after the pursuit started it ended. The suspect vehicle crashed into a barrier at Higgins Avenue and McArthur Street.
The two adult females who were in the car were injured and taken to hospital. One of them remains in stable condition the other has been released and is now in police custody.
Higgins was closed to traffic for part of the morning as police investigated.
