Brandon Police Service has arrested and charged a 16-year-old male after witnesses told police they saw a male walking on 6th street with a rifle.
Police responded to the area and with the help of the K-9 Unit narrowed down their search to a home less than a block away from the sighting.
Officers searched the home and found a .308 rifle. The firearm had been reported stolen in Southern Ontario.
The Brandon teen was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and released into his parents’ care
He is scheduled to appear in court in January.
