Winnipeg Police has arrested and charged a 22-year-old male after he was found driving a stolen Audi A6 sedan on Tuesday night, January 9, 2018.
The vehicle had been stolen two days earlier from a home in the Bridgewater Trails area of the city.
Police say that Air-1 was assigned to follow the vehicle and very shortly afterwards the Audi began speeding. Units on the ground did not pursue the car.

Ground officers were able to deploy a device to deflate the tires on the vehicle as it went through an intersection at Keewatin Street and Gallagher Avenue West. The driver continued to drive the vehicle but came to a stop in the 1500 block of Ross Avenue.
The driver bailed out and fled on foot. Officers pursued and after a short foot chase the suspect was captured in a schoolyard in the 1500 block of Elgin Avenue.
Rolly Allen Baptiste, from Winnipeg, has been charged for his alleged involvement with Driving While Disqualified, Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000. three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Drive suspended/while disqualified (Highway Traffic Act)
Baptiste was detained in custody.
