Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews were called to a blaze in the 600 block of Stella Avenue just after 10:00 pm on Tuesday night, June 11, 2019.

According to officials there were multiple calls to 911 alerting firefighters to the incident in a vacant one and a half storey house.

As crews arrived on scene they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the structure.

The fire was declared under control within 30 minutes.

A search of the building found no one inside. No injuries were reported

The building sustained significant smoke, water and fire damage.

The fire is under investigation.
