Starbucks becomes ‘to- go’ only during COVID-19 crisis

Starbucks has turned some of their stores into ‘to-go’ only in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19.

On Sunday, March 15, 2020 staff at the coffee chain received a letter from Lori Digulla, president of Starbucks Canada that said for at least the next two weeks they would be going to a ‘to-go’ model.

As part of the measures some Starbuck locations will also be closed temporarily. Locations in malls and other high-social gathering locations like colleges and universities without outside entrances will be closed.

Digulla said that hours of operation at some locations may be reduced.
