Winnipeg Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit found themselves in a stand-off with several individuals on Thursday afternoon, July 8, 2021 when they attempted to execute a search warrant at a Dufferin Avenue residence.
Police say the stand-off lasted about three hours and ended without incident.
The search of the residence after the stand-off uncovered:
- A conducted energy weapon
- Body armour
- Approximately $8,000 in cash
- Fentanyl patches
- Crack cocaine
- Drug packaging material
- A loaded Ruger revolver
- A loaded .40 cal pistol (serial number removed)
- A loaded 9 mm pistol (serial number removed)
Four males and two females who were in the home at the time were arrested and charged with more than 95 drug and weapon offences for their alleged involvement.
