Around 11:20 pm on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, officers with the Winnipeg Police Service were called to 3000 block of Portage Avenue for the report of a stabbing.
Police located a 26-year-old man suffering from severe upper body injuries from a stabbing and provided emergency medical care until paramedics arrived. The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery for his injuries. He was upgraded to stable.
No arrests have been made.
