A fight on the street in the 300 block of Parr Street Wednesday night between two youths escalated to the point of one youth getting stabbed.

Police say the fight brokeout around 7:40pm between two youth who knew each other.

The stabbing victim was taken to hospital in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable.

The other youth was remanded in custody.
