Male stabbed in Notre Dame Avenue altercation early Sunday

Winnipeg Police were called just after 1:00 am to a report of a male being stabbed in the 600 block of Notre Dame Avenue.

When officers arrived they found a male victim with significant stab wounds to his upper body. Paramedics took the 30-year-old male to the hospital in critical condition. His condition improved during the day and he is now stable.

According to police two men were involved in an altercation when a 31-year-old female intervened and stabbed the victim multiple times. She has not been identified to media but was charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon.

The other male involved in the fight has been charged with Aggravated Assault.

Both of people charge were detained in custody.
