Winnipeg Police were called to the scene of a stabbing Tuesday afternoon.
It happened around 5:30pm in an apartment at the corner of Portage Avenue and Sherbrook Street.
According to police a group was socializing and drinking. Two males known to one another became involved in a argument and a fight happened. A 41 year old male produced a knife and stabbed a 39 year old male multiple times, causing potentially serious injuries.
The 41 year old attacker also sustained non-life threatening injuries to the upper body during the fight. Both males are in stable condition.
Officers on scene arrested the 41 year old male and have charged him with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon, Fail to Comply with Conditions of a Recognizance x 3
