A man was stabbed in the stomach and a woman was hit in the face with a pool ball in a sock Thursday afternoon on Balmoral Street.

The assault happened around 4:00pm in the 500 block. 

The male victim was transported to hospital in stable condition.

Police believe that the attackers were also a man and a woman. No other details were released.
