On Saturday, April 13, 2024, a serious stabbing incident occurred in the 600 block of Main Street, prompting an immediate response from Winnipeg Police Service. The incident took place at approximately 6:10 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult female victim with multiple injuries. The nature of the injuries suggested an assault with an edged weapon. The victim was taken to a local hospital in unstable condition. Her condition was later upgraded to stable.
The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation, which is still ongoing. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the search for the perpetrator is currently underway.
