Winnipeg Police investigating first homicide of 2020

UPDATED

Winnipeg Police Homicide detectives are investigating the first homicide of the year.

On Friday, January 10, 2020 officers were called to a St. Vital home in the 100 block of Hindley Avenue around 6:15 pm.

When officers arrived they found an injured female. She was taken to hospital by paramedics in critical condition but died shortly afterwards.

The victim has been identified as 49-year-old Reagan Danielle Gross.

Police have arrested an adult male. 34-year-old Kodey Lionel Trudeau from Winnipeg has been charged with Second Degree Murder for his alleged involvement.

He was detained in custody.

The Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate.
