Man with a gun allegedly seen in area
Six schools in St.James went into a “hold and secure” situation on Friday May 12, 2017 as police were investigating an incident in the area.
Several schools in the St. James area are in hold & secure as a preventative measure while officers investigate a incident in the area.

The preventative measure affected Ness Middle School, Buchanan School, Voyageur School, Crestview School, Lakewood School and Hedges Middle School.
Although police have not said what the nature of the incident was people living in the area reported seeing a man with a gun.
Police reported that the incident had been resolved around 4:30 pm
Update: Incident in the Westwood area has been resolved peacefully. Schools will be released shortly. Thank you for your cooperation
