RCMP are investigating after the Roman Catholic Church in the RM of St-Francois-Xavier was broken into and vandalized.

According to investigators it happened sometime between Saturday night May 25th and Sunday morning May 26, 2019. The culprit or culprits forced their way into the church the went on a rampage smashing statues, overturning furniture and throwing around plants. They also set off a fire extinguisher inside the building.

Police say that a vehicle was seen in the church parking lot around 1:00 am Sunday morning.
