Springfield Fire Rescue were called to a blaze at Brunswick Steal on Bismarck Street just off Springfield Road around 6:00 pm on Friday, May 26, 2023.
The fire broke out in a scrapyard at the business. Firefighters poured water on the blaze as a specialized excavator moved scrap so that crews could reach the base of the fire.
It is expected that emergency crews will remain on the scene well into the early morning hours.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries have been reported.
