SPRING SNOW STORM DEVELOPING UP TO 10 CM ON ITS WAY TO SOUTHERN MANITOBA

In like a lion…out like a lion?

Environment Canada says you may want to keep your winter coat and boots handy on Monday. A snow storm is developing south of the border and is expected to drop up to 10 cm in the Red River valley before it moves on into Ontario.

The late season storm is expected to move into Manitoba in the morning on Monday with rain, ice pellets and finally snow. Some areas in the south east of the province will see between 10 – 15 cm before it’s all over.

With many Manitobans preparing for warmer weather most who use winter tires on their vehicles have already switched to summer treads. It is expected that road conditions will worsen during the storm as temperatures dip and winds increase.

The storm will end by early Tuesday morning.
