Manitoba’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre has issued an overland flood watch for all of southern and central Manitoba.
Weather systems moving across the province are expected to bring 20 to 40 mm of rain today and an additional 20-40 mm on Friday. Heavy rain could create overland flooding as the soil is saturated and most ditches and waterways are full or near capacity.
A flood warning has been issued for Vermillion River as water levels are rising or near peak levels at some locations. Flood warnings continue for most parts of the Red River north of Emerson not including the City of Winnipeg.
