Winnipeg Police Homicide detectives are investigating the 11th homicide of 2019.

At 10:45 am Police received a 911 call about an injured female at a home on Rockcliffe Road.

When officers arrived the found the victim in critical condition. She was taken to hospital but died from her injuries very soon afterwards.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim at this time because the next of kin have yet to be notified says Winnipeg Police Service Public Information Officer Rob Carver. The victim is between 45 and 65 years of age.

Carver says investigators will be gathering forensic evidence at the home on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 and possibly longer.

Police say that no arrests have been made.
