Winnipeg Police detectives have identified the victim in the South Pointe area shooting on Monday night, November 4, 2019.
Rig Debak Moulebou, 20 from Winnipeg died from gunshot wounds at a townhouse on Tim Sale Drive.
Moulebou was involved in Winnipeg football having played for the Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute Maroons as well as the Winnipeg Rifles Football club.
He also had a previous run-in with law enforcement and was scheduled to appear in court later this month for firearms-related charges.

Investigators say that they do not think the shooting was random.
