Manitoba COVID-19 enforcement officials continue to ticket people who are violating public health orders.
In the last week of January 159 warnings were issued along with 59 tickets. Of the 42 $1,296 tickets issued 31 were given to individuals at gatherings in private gatherings or outdoors. An additional 14 $298 tickets were handed out to people not wearing a mask in indoor public places.
Manitoba continues to be under COVID-19 restrictions.
Individuals violating public health orders can face fines of $1,296. Failing to wear a mask can get you a fine of $298. Businesses who do not follow restrictions can be fines $5,000.
