Thirty-eight warnings and 24 tickets were issued to businesses and individuals who were caught breaching Manitoba public health orders related to COVID-19 during the week of October 18 to 24
According to the province 20 individuals were issued $298 tickets for failing to wear a mask in an indoor public place. One person was fined $1,296 for breaching restrictions and three businesses received $5,000 fines for not complying with the orders.
Since April 2020, 2,253 tickets have been issued for breaching public health orders that total more than $3.2 million in fines. Several businesses and individuals have been issued multiple tickets for on-going violations.
