A 19-year-old male is facing a number of charges after he threatened to harm another teen over social media.
According to Winnipeg Police, they received a complaint on Sunday, November 26, 2017, from a mother who told them her son was receiving threats online. According to the report the boy began receiving threats on multiple social media platforms on Friday, November 24, 2017. The threats were written messages, voice messages and photo/video messages.

Officers from the Major Crimes Unit identified the suspect and on Monday, November 27, 2017 placed him under arrest. Officers seized a replica airsoft assault rifle.
Ryan Matthew Hamm, 19 from Winnipeg is facing charges for his alleged involvement in Uttering Threats Cause Death or Harm, Possession of a Weapon and Fail to Comply Condition Recognizance.
