A 14-year-old female has been arrested and charged for uttering threats after comments were made on social media on Monday, January 14, 2019.
According to police, the accused made several threats against people associated with Arthur Day Middle School in Transcona.
The school was placed on a Hold and Secure status and officers remained on site to provide security as investigators sought out the source of the threats.
Winnipeg Police Service Major Crimes Unit identified a suspect and took her into custody on January 15, 2019.
The investigators determined that the teen did not have access to any weapons and that the threat was not credible.
