Snowmobile collision kills 29 year old man

Rivers Police Service, along with the RCMP responded to a fatal snowmobile collision on the Little Saskatchewan River about 15 kilometres southeast of Rivers.

A 29-year-old Oakview man drove over the bank of a ravine and fell 20 metres to the river below.

Police say the man died on scene.

Investigators do not know if alcohol or speed played a factor in the crash. They do say the man was wearing a helmet.

 

Officers from the Rivers Police Service are investigating the incident
