RCMP are investigating a snowmobile collision that killed one man late Saturday night, March 2, 2019.
According to investigators, police were called to an area northwest of Assessippi Ski Hill in the RM of Riding Mountain West about 8 kilometres northwest of Inglis just after 11:00 pm.
A 35-year-old male from Roblin was travelling on the trail when he failed to negotiate a turn and crashed his sled into thick brush.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that although the man was wearing a helmet, alcohol and speed likely played a part in the collision.
The investigation continues.
