Two men are in the hospital after the snowmobile they were riding slammed into a large snowbank.
It happened in Norway House just before 8:00 am on Sunday, March 18, 2018.
Police say that when they arrived on scene they located the two men, who had been thrown off the machine during the collision, suffering from serious injuries.
A 24-year-old clinging to life with life-threatening injuries and a 21-year-old sustained serious injuries.
Both victims were flown to Winnipeg.
Investigators say that neither man was wearing helmets and they believe that speed and alcohol played a factor in the collision.
RCMP continue to investigate.
More than seven people have been involved fatal snowmobile collisions this winter across the province. Several of them involved excessive speed and alcohol.
