RCMP are investigating a collision that happened on Monday afternoon, January 17, 2022, in a field near Pleasant Road in the RM of Springfield.
When police arrived on the scene they found several people providing first aid to the driver of a snowmobile.
Police say the 72-year-old driver from the RM of Springfield was riding in the field when he drove into a fence. The driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators do not believe speed or alcohol played a factor in the collision.
RCMP continue to investigate.
