WINNIPEG WEATHER

Snowfall warning issued for Winnipeg

Just after 3:00 pm on Monday April 12, 2021, Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for much of central and south eastern Manitoba including the City of Winnipeg.

Heavy snowfall is expected through to Tuesday with accumulations in the 15-25 cm range. Some areas in the eastern Parklands into east central Manitoba could see higher snow amounts closer to 30 cm

The snow system is expected to weaken late Tuesday as it begins to move into northwestern Ontario.

The national forecaster says that road conditions and visibility could make it difficult to drive as heavy snow accumulates.

The provincial government advises that anyone scheduled for a COVID-19 vaccination who cannot make it to their appointment should call 1-844-626-8222 or go to protectmb.ca to reschedule or cancel.
