A declared snow route parking ban is in effect in Winnipeg effective midnight tonight (Tuesday, January 8, 2019).
The declared snow route parking ban means that you are not allowed to park on posted snow routes in the city between 12:00 am and 7:00 am until further notice. The extends the parking ban by two hours each night.
The reason for the ban is so city crews can clear the main routes, bus routes and collector streets.
Vehicles that are parked in snow routes during the restricted times could be ticketed $100 and may also be towed to a towing company compound. If you are towed additional fees will apply before your vehicle is released.
