RV goes up in flames in Elmwood Sunday morning

UPDATED

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) was called to a home on William Newton Avenue around 10:15 am on Sunday, November 3, 2019.

Flames and heavy smoke were coming from an RV on the property as crews arrived on scene.

Firefighters launched an offensive attack and quickly had the blaze under control

According to witnesses, a loud bang could be heard just before the fire started. Police say that a propane tank attached to the motorhome exploded.

On Saturday a man was shot in the same block but it is not known if both incidents are related.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
