Brandon Police arrest three adults and three youth after vehicle stop

Brando Police have arrested and charged six people during a traffic stop just before midnight on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

It happened in the 400 block of 14th Street.

Officers found a backpack had about 30 grams of marihuana in it. Three Brandon youth aged 14, 16 and 17 were charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. The three males were held in Brandon Correctional Centre overnight and will appear in court in September.

The other people in the car were also arrested and charged.

A female, 39 from Brandon is facing a Possession charge and was also found to have outstanding warrants for Assault. Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Breach of Undertaking. She was detained in custody

A Brandon male, 38, was arrested on the strength of outstanding warrants for Transfer a Forged Document, Fraud Under $5000, Breach of Probation and Fail to Attend Court. He was released and will have to appear in court in August.

The driver, a 35-year-old woman from the RM of Wallace is facing charges for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Breach of Recognizance. She was also charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime after police found she had numerous stolen items in her possession at the time of the arrest. She will appear in court in September.
