SIRAJ Cafe fined more than $10,000 for breaching public health orders

SIRAJ CAFÉ & LOUNGE on Corydon Avenue was fined more than $10,000 for failing to follow orders issued by Chief Public Health Officer.

On Tuesday the establishment received four tickets in the amount of $2,542 each.

This is not the first time the business was fined. On July 20th they also received a $2,542 ticket for the same reason according to public health documents.

Manitoba Public Health has issued strict orders in place regarding social distancing and capacity within restaurant and bars.

Since May 27, 2020, four other nearby Corydon Avenue businesses were also ticketed for failing to comply with public health orders.

ARABESQUE HOOKAH CAFÉ & LOUNGE was fined $2,542 on May 27th

CHAISE CORYDON was fined $2,542 on June 22 and fined $2,542 again on July 11

CAFÉ LA SCALA was fined $2,542 on July 12

7 ARABIAN DREAMS was fined $2,542 on August 1
