Shots Fired in Riverton Home Invasion: One Injured

On the night of July 28, 2024, at approximately 10:50 pm, Gimli RCMP responded to a report of shots fired at a residence in Riverton. Upon arrival, officers learned that four male suspects, one armed with a firearm, had entered the home and confronted two adult males.

During the confrontation, the firearm was discharged, resulting in a 44-year-old male from Lynn Lake being transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He remains in stable condition. The other victim, a 33-year-old male from Riverton, was not injured.

Gimli RCMP is actively investigating the incident and is urging anyone with information to contact the Gimli RCMP Detachment at 204-642-5106. Anonymous tips can also be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.manitobacrimestoppers.com.

The investigation is ongoing.
