Brandon Police have arrested a 58 year old Brandon woman after they watched her carrying a shotgun down College Avenue early Saturday morning.
It was just after 2:00 am when officers confronted the woman who appeared to be intoxicated. When asked why she had the gun she told officers she was taking it to the park and was going to leave it there be cause she didn’t want it in her house.
She was arrested and taken to Brandon Correctional Centre to sober up. She will appear in court in July to face charges relating to the fire arm.
Police seized the Remington 870 Wingmaster shotgun as evidence.
