A Winnipeg man is facing a list of charges after allegedly behaving very badly at a store on Gateway Road and then on a bus.
Police say on December 2 at about 4:30 in the afternoon, a man in a grocery store was hiding items he hadn’t paid for on himself, and escaped the store after peeing on a number of items and exposing himself.
The alleged shoplifter then boarded a bus and threatened to assault its driver. The bus was stopped at Main Street and Margaret Avenue. While the driver and passengers safely exited the bus, Transit supervisors on the scene called police to deal with the suspect, who refused to get off.
Police indicate they arrested and charged Christopher Lawrence Tomiuk, 41, with uttering threats, two counts of mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000 and committing an indecent act.
