Shooting Incident in St. Boniface: Police Seek Public’s Assistance

On September 1, 2024, at approximately 11:15 a.m., General Patrol officers from the East District, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, responded to a gun call at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Aubert Street in St. Boniface.

Upon arrival, officers located a male in his 30s on a balcony with injuries resulting from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition and remains in serious but stable condition.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation and is seeking the public’s assistance.
