Sherbrook Street house totally destroyed by fire

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was called to a fire in the 400 block of Sherbrook Street around 10:20 pm on Monday, November 7, 2022.

When crews arrived they found a home fully engulfed in flames. A defensive attack from the outside of the home was launched using handlines and an aerial ladder truck.

The fire was declared under control at 11:25 pm.

The residents in the hose were able to get themselves out before firefighters arrived. They were assessed by paramedics on the scene but did not require hospitalization.

People in a neighbouring house were evacuated.

Sherbrook Street was closed to traffic for about four hours as firefighters were on scene

No injuries were reported.

The house is considered a complete loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
