As firefighters arrived they encountered heavy flames and thick black smoke coming from the shed. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was deemed under control at 7:02 pm.

Light smoke had made its way inside the administrative area of the hospital and crews set up fans to ventilate.

No evacuations were necessary and the fire did not impact any patients. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
