On July 12, 2016 at about 5:20 in the afternoon a 46 year old female had allegedly been assaulted in the 300 block of Portage Avenue.

 The victim observed an unknown male allegedly performing an indecent act. After indicating that she was calling police, the suspect assaulted her and she fell to the ground.

The suspect fled and the victim was treated for minor injuries.

Soon after, additional groping incidents and indecent acts were reported to police in the same area, possibly involving the same male suspect.

The suspect is described as: Aboriginal in appearance, 20-25 years old, short black hair, heart shaped face, approximately 6’0” tall and skinny build. He was wearing: a white shirt, black shorts, white runners and baseball cap.  

Members of the Sex Crimes Unit continue to investigate.
