Winnipeg Police received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred on a Winnipeg Transit bus around 9:45pm Monday night.
A 16 year old female had been sitting alone on the #17 bus when a male sat down beside her and allegedly proceeded to grope her. Another adult female intervened and the victim was able to alert the driver to the incident.
The victim was not physically harmed.
When confronted the suspect denied the accusation and left the bus in the area of McDermot Avenue and Frances Street.
Police are looking for the male suspect who is described as:
- Aboriginal in appearance
- 20 to 30-years-of-age
- approximately 6’2” in height
- skinny build
- dark, thick curly hair
- cast on right hand
