Winnipeg Police say that an 18-year-old woman was robbed then sexually assaulted in the area of Ellice Avenue and Home Street early Sunday Morning, March 4, 2018.
It happened between 6:00 and 7:00 am as the victim was walking in the area. She was approached by two men who produced a weapon and took off with her purse.
The victim pursued the male into a lane where the pair sexually assaulted her.
The suspects are described as black males in their early 20’s with thin builds and short hair shaved on the sides.
Police say the victim was taken to hospital, treated and released.
