RCMP have arrested a 64-year-old male Alberta man who was living in The Pas after an investigation into drug trafficking was begun on June 12, 2018.
According to police, they stopped a vehicle being driven by the accused during their investigation and found methamphetamine and items consistent with trafficking inside the vehicle.
As investigators continued to look into the case they learned that the suspect was attempting to obtain sexual services in exchange for drugs and alcohol from multiple youths.
Eric Leonard Richards, 64, from Athabasca, Alberta has bee charged for his alleged involvement with three counts of Sexual Exploitation of a young person, two counts of Obtaining Sexual Services from a person under 18, Possession for the purpose of Trafficking and Failure to Comply with an undertaking.
Richards was detained in custody.
