Seven additional deaths and 349 new cases of COVID-19 identified

349 new cases of COVID-19 were identified since Friday including 90 cases on Saturday, Oct. 9; 114 cases Sunday, Oct. 10, 79 cases Monday, Oct. 11 and 66 cases today. Seven additional deaths were also reported.

The current COVID-19 test positivity rate is 3.9 per cent.

Of the 66 cases identified in the province today, 34 are people who have not been vaccinated and 8 are people who have been partially vaccinated. 24 are people who are fully vaccinated

There are 928 active cases of COVID-19 in the province with 85 people hospitalized. 16 Manitobans are being treated in intensive care units

1,920 lab tests were taken yesterday. That brings the total number of COVID-19 tests completed in the province since February 2020 to 1,037,630.

The total number of people who died from the virus in Manitoba is 1,224.

An outbreak has been declared at Springs Christian Academy Youville Campus in Winnipeg and two classes have been moved to the restricted (Orange) level on the Pandemic Response System.
