A 41-year-old male is clinging to life after being seriously assaulted with a weapon in Portage la Prairie early Monday morning, September 27, 2021.
According to RCMP the male had been assaulted behind a Saskatchewan Avenue West business around 12:15 am. When officers located the victim they administered first aid until paramedics arrived on the scene. The male was taken to a Winnipeg hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains in serious condition.
A police service dog was used to track the suspects and along the track officers uncovered some evidence and a possible last location of the suspects near 10th Street NW and Fisher Avenue.
