The 41-year-old male victim in a September 27, 2021, assault in Portage la Prairie died from his injuries on October 22, 2021, police are investigating the case as a homicide.
Police reported that the male victim had been assaulted with a weapon behind a Saskatchewan Avenue West business. Two people were seen leaving the area shortly afterwards and are considered possible suspects.
Investigators are releasing surveillance images of the persons of interest that was taken in the back lane in the 100 block of Saskatchewan Avenue West.
One person is seen wearing dark-coloured clothing and a light-coloured facemask and was walking. The other person is seen riding a bike wearing a light-coloured jacket/hoody and dark pants.
