Winnipeg Police have charged a 68-year-old male with Possession of Child Pornography as part of an investigation dating back to September 2019.

Investigators from the WPS Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) began an investigation after child sexual abuse images were uploaded to a social media site.

The social networking service reported the images to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in the United States who passed the information on to Canadian authorities

Police executed a search warrant on Friday, January 24, 2020, at a home on Nottingham Avenue with the suspect being placed under arrest on Kernaghan Avenue soon afterwards.

Police say that several electronic devices were seized from the Nottingham address and analysis shows the devices contain child porn.

Ronald Tretlak, 68 from Winnipeg has been charged for his alleged involvement.
